Thread Lift Aftercare
What to know after your treatment
About this guide
FlyToGlow provides the following content solely as an English translation of aftercare guidance supplied by a clinic. FlyToGlow does not independently create, prescribe, or replace medical aftercare instructions. Always follow the instructions provided directly by the clinic that treated you. If there is any difference between this translation and the instructions from your treating clinic, the treating clinic's instructions take precedence.
1. Thread Lift Aftercare
- For 1 week after treatment, it is best to avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, strenuous exercise, and high-frequency heat treatments.
- For about 4–5 days after treatment, you may feel a pulling sensation and may notice skin dimpling where the threads were inserted. These are natural reactions and gradually improve over time. A thread may protrude outside the skin; if this happens, do not be alarmed and contact the clinic.
- If you have severe pain, take Tylenol. If very severe pain or swelling continues, visit the clinic promptly. The treated area may feel tight for about 1 week.
- It is best to keep the DuoDERM dressing placed over the needle-entry area in place for about 1 week.
- Cleansing is possible from the day of treatment, but cleanse gently without rubbing hard or applying pressure. Light makeup is possible from the following day.
- For about 3 weeks, avoid facial massage, cosmetic procedures that apply pressure to the face, dental procedures that require keeping the mouth open for a long time, and excessive facial movements. This helps prevent inflammation and maximize the treatment effect.
- Sufficient rest and vitamin intake help support collagen regeneration.
- Mild bruising may occur after treatment, but it usually disappears within 1–2 weeks.
