Laser Hair Removal Aftercare

What to know after your treatment

About this guide

FlyToGlow provides the following content solely as an English translation of aftercare guidance supplied by a clinic. FlyToGlow does not independently create, prescribe, or replace medical aftercare instructions. Always follow the instructions provided directly by the clinic that treated you. If there is any difference between this translation and the instructions from your treating clinic, the treating clinic's instructions take precedence.

1. Laser Hair Removal Aftercare

  • The area around the hair follicles may swell after treatment, and redness, a burning sensation, or pigmentation may occur for 1–2 days. These reactions are normal and gradually improve.
  • Cleansing and makeup are possible from the day of treatment.
  • For about 1–7 days after treatment, light showering is possible, but avoid saunas, jjimjilbang, swimming pools, and exercise that causes heavy sweating. Avoid hot water.
  • It is best to shave the treated area from 1 week after treatment. Avoid waxing and tweezing.
  • If scabs or blisters develop, visit the clinic.
  • When going outside, apply sunscreen thoroughly to help prevent pigmentation, and use moisturizer. A sunscreen with a high SPF is recommended.
