What to know after your treatment
About this guide
FlyToGlow provides the following content solely as an English translation of aftercare guidance supplied by a clinic. If there is any difference between this translation and the instructions from your treating clinic, the treating clinic's instructions take precedence.
1. Facial Contouring Injection Aftercare
- For at least 3 days after treatment, it is best to avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and strenuous exercise.
- Avoid aspirin, combination cold medicines, and combination headache medicines. If you have a cold or headache, take a single-ingredient Tylenol product.
- Depending on the treatment area, mild bruising may occur, but it gradually improves over time.
- Cleansing is possible from the day of treatment as long as the water is not hot. Light makeup is possible from the following day.
- From the day after treatment, there is usually little or no pain or swelling. If significant pain or swelling continues after that, visit the clinic promptly.
- Facial contouring injections are intended to reduce facial fat and promote peripheral blood and lymphatic circulation to refine the facial line. The effect can usually be felt from about 1 month after treatment.
- For maximum effect, about 3–5 sessions at intervals of 1–2 weeks are recommended.
