Laser Treatment Aftercare
What to know after your treatment
About this guide
FlyToGlow provides the following content solely as an English translation of aftercare guidance supplied by a clinic. FlyToGlow does not independently create, prescribe, or replace medical aftercare instructions. Always follow the instructions provided directly by the clinic that treated you. If there is any difference between this translation and the instructions from your treating clinic, the treating clinic's instructions take precedence.
1. Laser Treatment Aftercare
- Redness and a burning sensation may occur on the day of treatment. These reactions are normal and usually disappear after about 2–3 days. (After laser toning, they usually disappear within 1–2 hours.)
- Light cleansing and makeup are possible from the day after treatment.
- For about 3–7 days after treatment, light showering is possible, but avoid saunas, jjimjilbang (Korean-style heated bathhouses), swimming pools, exercise that causes heavy sweating, alcohol, and smoking.
- Avoid excessive exfoliation, as it may make the skin more sensitive.
- Scabs may form after laser treatment. Leave them to fall off naturally and do not remove them by force. (After mole removal, cleanse while keeping the recovery tape in place for 1–2 weeks.)
- Use moisturizer generously after laser treatment. When going outside, apply sunscreen thoroughly and take care to prevent pigmentation. A sunscreen with a high SPF is recommended.
- Drink plenty of water and consume sufficient vitamins, seasonal fruits, and vegetables.
2. Laser Toning
- You may notice that the face looks brighter after one treatment. Better results are generally seen when at least 5 sessions are received at intervals of once every 1–2 weeks.
3. Fraxel
- Better results are generally seen after about 3–5 or more sessions performed at intervals of 4–6 weeks.
4. Shurink
- The effect is maximized when 3 consecutive sessions are performed at 1-month intervals.
5. Ulthera
- Tip marks may appear on sensitive or hollow areas, but they usually disappear within a few days.
- Better results may be achieved when the treatment is performed at intervals of 1–2 years or combined with Oligio (radiofrequency treatment).
6. InMode
- Because this treatment uses suction to reduce the fat layer, bruising may occur, but it usually improves within 7–10 days.
- The effect is maximized when 3 consecutive sessions are performed at intervals of 3–4 weeks.
7. Oligio / Volnewmer
- To maximize the effect after treatment, cold gel packs, cold gel, or other cooling are not recommended.
- If blisters develop, or if swelling, redness, or pain continues for more than 1 day, visit the clinic.
- The effect is maximized when 2–3 consecutive sessions are performed at intervals of 3–6 months.
8. Tattoo Removal
- The treated area may swell, and redness, a burning sensation, or pigmentation may occur for 1–2 days. These reactions are normal and gradually improve.
- If blisters develop, or if swelling, redness, or pain continues, visit the clinic.
- The effect is maximized when treatments are performed continuously at intervals of 4–6 weeks.
